The Rib Covers Man

Rib means “covering.” And in the beginning man needed no covering, for "the man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed. " But when Adam and Eve discovered the fruit, they discovered that they had no covering. “Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loin coverings.”
